Frequent Questions

If hazardous waste has been stored temporarily in a container, can it still be placed in a wastewater treatment unit (WWTU)?

The Federal RCRA regulations do not prohibit you from placing previously stored hazardous waste into a WWTU. Additionally, components of units at a facility do not have to be connected. Wastewater can be piped, trucked, or otherwise conveyed between WWTUs.
